About this board
Endmatched, prefinished, ready
End-match means each end of the board has a tongue on one side and a groove on the other. Installed, the ends lock together, which helps keep boards from cupping, and boards don’t all need to land on a stud, so installs go faster with very little waste.
Premium gives you the cleanest face this species produces, with characteristic knots that are red, tight and sound. Graded to NELMA rules. Johnson Pine factory sands and coats every board on all four sides: two coats on the face and edges, one coat on the back. The color stays consistent from board to board.
Johnson Pine sands each board first, then lightly sands between every coat of stain or finish, and applies a final coat. The finish is UV-cured, so it cures hard and durable and adds UV protection. The finish is even and consistent, and the color matches across the order. Factory finished on four sides to resist shrinking, discoloration, and moisture, with the grain still visible.

The math: sq ft × 12 ÷ face coverage = LF, then × (1 + waste). Catalog example: 500 sq ft of 1×6 V-Groove → 6,000 ÷ 5.125 = 1,170 LF → × 1.05 = 1,230 LF.

Can I buy special-order finishes online?
Yes. In-stock finishes are typically ready in a couple of days. Special-order finishes go in the cart the same way; they’re special ordered from Johnson Pine, typically a couple of weeks, and we confirm the ready date after you order. Bluestain is the exception: availability isn’t guaranteed, so call to check.
Why is my footage rounded?
Prefinished boards come in 6-piece bundles of random lengths. We round to whole bundles and confirm the final footage and bundle count with you before your order is final.
What does endmatch mean?
Each end of the board has a tongue on one side and a groove on the other, so boards lock end to end anywhere along the run — not only on a stud. That cuts waste and speeds install.
